    A partir del poema ecfrástico de Rainer Maria Rilke «Torso arcaico de Apolo», el presente texto muestra, desde el campo de la escultura, una reflexión sobre nuestra naturaleza humana material, no sólo la de carne, también la de piedra, en la que la mediación de nuestros sentidos posibilita encarnaciones de nosotros mismos en total conciencia de lo que la retórica del material ofrece a la configuración de la obra del ser humano: su propio ser trascendente en el mundo.

    Through the ekphrastic poem by Rainer Maria Rilke «Archaic Torso of Apollo», this text shows, as from the field of sculpture, a reflection on our material human nature, not only that of flesh, but also that of stone, that in which mediation of our senses make possible incarnations of ourselves in full awareness of what the rhetoric of the material offers to the configuration of the work of the human being: his own transcendent being in the world.
