    A mitades del Siglo xx, el estudio de arquitecturaHaefeli Moser Steiger construye Hochhaus zur Palme,convirtiéndose en un referente del Movimiento Moderno en Suiza.Desde entonces se suceden diversas pequeñas remodelacionessin seguir una estrategia pensada, pero a pesar de ello,Hochhaus zur Palme mantiene su apariencia monumental consu esqueleto de hormigón visto en fachada. Su posición, suestructura, su tipología,… todo ello es un manifiesto transgresorde su época, que hoy en día se sigue manteniendo vigente. Estetexto analiza este edificio y los diferentes usos del hormigón enél, poniéndolo en valor y mostrando como el uso del hormigóntrasciende de un rol puramente estructural.

    In the mid 20th century, the architectural firm HaefeliMoser Steiger built the Hochhaus zur Palme, establishing itas a landmark of the Modern Movement in Switzerland. Sincethen, various minor renovations have taken place without acohesive strategy. Despite this, the Hochhaus zur Palme hasretained its monumental appearance, with its exposed concreteskeleton on the façade. Its position, structure, typology… allof these elements constitute a transgressive manifesto of itstime, which remains relevant today. This text examines thebuilding and the various uses of concrete within it, highlightingits significance and demonstrating how the use of concretetranscends a purely structural role.
