Interdisciplinaridade: contributos da inteligência artificial para a Ciência da Informação

    Objective: to verify the possible contributions of Artificial Intelligence in the application areas of Information Science. Methods: This is an integrative literature review investigated from the following information sources: Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science, Scopus, and Library and Information Science Abstracts. The search strategy was based on the terms "artificial intelligence" and "information science".  Results: Sixty-four articles found on the topic of the contributions of artificial intelligence to information science were grouped into the following categories: Interdisciplinarity; Organization and Management of Information; Applicability; and Knowledge Management. Conclusions: The study confirmed that Artificial Intelligence is interdisciplinary, allowing connections with other areas of knowledge, and that there is evidence of contribution in the applied area of Information Science.

    Objetivo: verificar as possíveis contribuições da Inteligência Artificial nas áreas de aplicação da Ciência da Informação. Métodos: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura investigada a partir das seguintes fontes de informação: Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação, Scopus e Library and Information Science Abstracts. A estratégia de busca pautou-se no termo “inteligência artificial” AND “ciência da informação”. Resultados: sessenta e quatro artigos encontrados sobre o tema das contribuições da inteligência artificial para a ciência da informação foram agrupados nas categorias: Interdisciplinaridade; Organização e Gerenciamento da Informação; Aplicabilidade; e Gestão do Conhecimento. Conclusões: O estudo possibilitou a confirmação de que a Inteligência Artificial é interdisciplinar, possibilitando conexões com outras áreas do conhecimento, e que há evidência da contribuição na área aplicada da Ciência da Informação.
