Resumen de Del archivo a la edición: un nuevo inventariado documental de Cristóbal del Hoyo

Décadas después de la primeras investigaciones sobre Cristóbal del Hoyo, su nombre ha terminado por relegarse a la sombra de las grandes voces de la literatura del Dieciocho. Salvo por las dos ediciones que cuenta la Carta de Madrid, además de un breve inciso en las Cartas diferentes…, el resto de textos han permanecido ocultos, inéditos. Este trabajo ha supuesto una búsqueda por los distintos archivos, bibliotecas y fondos, donde pudieran conservarse documentos hasta ahora invisibles para el público. Por otra parte, se ha tratado de ofrecer un acceso online a todos aquellos pliegos, cartas, o papeles que contaran con una versión digitalizada. A pesar del conocimiento de que este trabajo está incompleto, por lo que nos mantenemos a la espera de nuevos descubrimientos, resulta llamativo observar el escaso interés que ha despertado su obra dentro de las lecturas dieciochescas del panorama literario español.

After the approaches made decades ago to the work of Cristóbal del Hoyo, his name has ended up being relegated to the shadows of the great voices of eighteenth-century literature. Except for the two editions of the Carta de Madrid, plus a brief section in the Cartas diferentes..., the rest of the texts have remained hidden, unpublished. This work has involved a search through the various archives, libraries and collections where documents hitherto invisible to the public may have been preserved. On the other hand, we have tried to offer online access to all those sheets, letters, or papers that have a digitised version. Despite the knowledge that this work is incomplete, and that we therefore await further discoveries, it is striking to note how little interest his work has aroused within the eighteenth-century readings of the Spanish literary scene.
