    La presente investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar y desarrollar las habilidades motrices finas y gruesas de los niños, utilizando el inventario del desarrollo de Battelle. Este inventario permite analizar el progreso en áreas como la motricidad, el desarrollo personal y social, la comunicación y el desarrollo cognitivo.

    En este sentido, el estudio tuvo lugar en el Centro de Desarrollo Infantil Sonrisas Felices, situado en 24 de mayo, Manabí. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 20 niños entre 0 a 4 años, a la vez, solo un grupo representativo fue escogido aleatoriamente. Por otra parte, con una metodología cualitativa y cuantitativa, los niños realizan actividades lúdicas con material didáctico, especialmente diseñada para activar su motricidad. Los resultados del estudio demostraron un desarrollo positivo de las habilidades motrices de tipo fino en la mayoría de los niños, a excepción de un caso de autismo que presentó ciertos retrasos.

    El estudio subraya la importancia del entorno educativo y familiar en el desarrollo psicomotor de los niños, sugiriendo que la exposición constante a actividades lúdicas y estimulantes contribuye significativamente a su crecimiento integral.

    Se concluye que, el uso de juegos y actividades lúdicas es una herramienta eficaz para progresar las habilidades motrices de los niños, promoviendo un desarrollo integral y facilitando su adaptación en el entorno escolar.

    The present research aims to evaluate and develop fine and gross motor skills in children, using the Battelle development inventory. This inventory allows for the analysis of progress in areas such as motor skills, personal and social development, communication and cognitive development.

    In this sense, the study took place at the Sonrisas Felices Child Development Center, located in 24 de mayo, Manabí. The study population consisted of 20 children between 0 and 4 years old, at a time, only a representative group was chosen randomly. On the other hand, with a qualitative and quantitative methodology, the children carry out playful activities with educational material, specially designed to activate their motor skills. The results of the study demonstrated a positive development of fine motor skills in most children, except for one case of autism that presented certain delays.

    The study highlights the importance of the educational and family environment in the psychomotor development of children, suggesting that constant exposure to playful and stimulating activities contributes significantly to their overall growth.

    It is concluded that the use of games and playful activities is an effective tool to improve children's motor skills, promoting comprehensive development and facilitating their adaptation in the school environment.
