    Resumen Este trabajo está dedicado a estudiar el papel de los sacerdotes católicos que participaron en la Guerra del Chaco como capellanes. Se realizó en base a notas periodísticas, así como testimonios de los ex combatientes y beneméritos de la guerra que dan fe del accionar de estas personas en favor de los soldados bolivianos, como soporte espiritual y apoyo emocional en los momentos trágicos que se produjeron durante la campaña militar. Este estudio busca dar a conocer con mayor detalle histórico el accionar de este grupo social que fue partícipe de la Guerra del Chaco.

    Abstract This paper is dedicated to studying the role of Catholic priests who participated in the Chaco War as chaplains. This work was carried out based on journalistic notes, as well as testimonies of former combatants and merits of the Chaco War that attest to the actions of these people in favor of the Bolivian soldiers, both as spiritual support and emotional support in tragic moments that existed during the military campaign. This study seeks to reveal in greater historical detail the actions of this social group that participated in the Chaco War.
