       Los números extraordinarios de revistas permiten desarrollar estudios que han sido solo apuntados en trabajos precedentes. Esto es verdad incluso cuando se trata de un argumento,  largamente atendido por la historiografía. Sobre todo, ahora, que corre el peligro de ser abandonado por la falsa creencia de que ya sabemos suficiente sobre estos temas, cuando se está a la espera de nuevas preguntas que completen una realidad histórica no totalmente reconstruida. Este número de la revista Philostrato, con el título Cultura y políticas artísticas en la corte hispánica del siglo XVI, ofrece material y reflexiones novedosas sobre el argumento. Estas incluyen líneas de investigación sobre espacios, redes, saberes compartidos y heredados, experimentación y viajes de modelos artísticos entre cortes y geografías distantes, pero, sobre todo, temas de interés como la emulación, el despliegue artístico y la promoción arquitectónica, o la acumulación de capitales cultural y político.

       The extraordinary issues of journals ebable the development of studies that have only been explored briefly in previous works. This is true even when dealing with an argument, as in this case, that has long been addressed by historiography. Above all, now, it is at risk of being abandoned due to the false belief that we already know enough about these topics, when in reality it is awaiting new questions that will complete a historical reality that has not been fully reconstructed. This issue of the journal Philostrato, titled Culture and Artistic Politics at the 16th-Century Spanish Court, offers new material and reflections on the subject. These include research lines on spaces, networks, shared and inherited knowledge, experimentation, and the travel of artistic models between courts and distant geographies, but above all, topics of interest such as emulation, artistic deployment, architectural promotion, and the accumulation of cultural and political capital.
