  • Resumen
    • This paper examines the concept of person and its historical evolution, focusing particularly on its relationship with the concept of logos. It begins by exploring ancient Greek and Roman perspectives, revealing their understanding of personhood which included elements of gnoseological and moral subjectivity among certain thinkers. The study then investigates the influence of theological questions within Christianity, such as the Trinity and the Incarnation, on the development of the notion of person. Subsequently, the paper shows how the emergence of a new interest on the dignity of the person anticipated the Renaissance and the Modern periods, which saw an expanded understanding of personhood that encompasses both cognitive and moral subjectivity. These developments culminated in the recognition of the autonomy of the person, while acknowledging his inherent dependence on others for fulfillment. Finally, the paper proposes a description of the person as an analogical animal. This conceptualization sheds light on ethical considerations and provides a foundation for discussions within the realms of law and politics.
