    En el marco de la política anticientífica del mileísmo, que ha hecho foco en los ataquespúblicos a las ciencias humanas y sociales, se ha realizado la primera edición de una encuestaa investigadorxs en humanidades cuyos resultados se sintetizan en este artículo y sedespliegan en el siguiente. El objetivo de la encuesta no ha sido meramente responder a losataques sino recuperar y encuadrar posicionamientos fundados sobre temas que interpelan anuestras prácticas: el estatuto social de la disciplina, la necesidad de financiamiento estatal,los criterios de relevancia y las estrategias para fortalecer su reconocimiento. Sostenemos queel ejercicio de vigilancia epistémica, a que las humanidades están acostumbradas, debe serredoblado en estas circunstancias. Las respuestas evidencian tensiones en torno a la utilidaddel conocimiento en humanidades, la relación entre ciencia y mercado, y la importancia delEstado como garante de una producción científica soberana e independiente, atenta a laproducción de bienes públicos. Coincidentemente, encuentran en las humanidades un modelode construcción de saber contrapuesto a lógica de la inmediatez y el aplicacionismo, pero nopor eso desprovisto de utilidad. De la encuesta emerge el postulado de que las humanidadesfinanciadas por el Estado cumplen un rol fundamental en la construcción de alternativaspara la comprensión crítica de la realidad y el tratamiento de temas complejos que afectan alos ciudadanos argentinos.

    In the context of the anti-scientific policies of Milei's government, which focused on public attacks against the Humanities and social sciences, we conducted the first edition of a survey targeting researchers in the Humanities. The results are summarized in this article and further elaborated in the following one. The aim of the survey was not merely to respond to these attacks but to recover and frame well-founded positions on issues that challenge our practices: the social status of the discipline, the need for state funding, criteria for relevance, and strategies to strengthen its recognition. We argue that the epistemic awareness to which the Humanities are accustomed must be intensified under these circumstances. The responses reveal tensions surrounding the utility of knowledge in the Humanities, the relationship between science and market, and the importance of the State as a guarantor of sovereign and independent scientific production, attentive to the creation of public goods. Consistently, they identify in the Humanities a model of knowledge construction that opposes the logic of immediacy and utilitarianism, yet is not devoid of utility. The survey underscores the postulate that State-funded Humanities play a fundamental role in building alternatives for the critical understanding of reality and addressing complex issues affecting Argentine citizens.
