    Se comienza ofreciendo un análisis de las características estructurales de Almendralejo durante el Trienio Liberal: población, aspectos económicos, fiscales y sociales y situación judicial. A continuación, se examinan los rasgos más destacados de su actividad política durante este período histórico a nivel municipal y supramunicipal, con especial atención a la Milicia Nacional y a su ayuntamiento. Por último, se examina el final del Trienio Liberal en Almendralejo y la posterior represión absolutista ejercida contra sus vecinos liberales. Todo ello, debidamente contextualizado y explicado en el marco histórico provincial y nacional.

    First, a detailed analysis of the structural characteristics of Almendralejo during the Liberal Triennium is offered: population, economic, fiscal and social aspects and judicial situation. Next, the most distinctive features of its political life at the municipal and supramunicipal levels during this historical period are considered, paying special attention to the National Militia and to its local council. Last, the end of the Liberal Triennium in Almendralejo and the subsequent absolutist repression against its liberal inhabitants are considered. Everything properly put in context and explained within the national and provincial historical framework.
