    Estimados lectores y colaboradores, es un honor para mí asumir el rol de editora en jefe de la Revista Latinoamericana de Ciencias Agrarias. En este volumen y número, titulado “El campo es una forma de vida: detrás de cada alimento está el trabajo de su gente”, rendimos homenaje a todas las personas que desempeñan arduamente su labor en el campo día tras día. En este mes de junio, celebramos dos fechas importantes en nuestro país: el Día del Campesino y el Día del Ingeniero Agrónomo. Ambos grupos están comprometidos en aprovechar los recursos agronómicos que poseemos y en contribuir al desarrollo sostenible.

    Con la revista y nuestras publicaciones, buscamos fomentar la investigación, la innovación y la colaboración entre expertos y profesionales en esta apasionante área. Juntos, seguiremos sembrando conocimiento y cosechando soluciones para un futuro más próspero en las ciencias agrarias.

    El campo es más que tierra y cultivos; es una forma de vida. Detrás de cada alimento que llega a nuestras mesas, hay un arduo trabajo realizado por agricultores, científicos, técnicos y comunidades rurales.

    Dear readers and contributors, it is an honor for me to assume the role of editor-in-chief of the Latin American Journal of Agricultural Sciences. In this volume and issue, entitled "The countryside is a way of life: behind every food is the work of its people", we pay tribute to all the people who work hard in the countryside day after day. In this month of June, we celebrate two important dates in our country: the Day of the Farmer and the Day of the Agricultural Engineer. Both groups are committed to taking advantage of the agronomic resources we possess and contributing to sustainable development.With the magazine and our publications, we seek to promote research, innovation and collaboration among experts and professionals in this exciting area. Together, we will continue to sow knowledge and harvest solutions for a more prosperous future in the agricultural sciences.The countryside is more than land and crops; it is a way of life. Behind every food that reaches our tables, there is hard work done by farmers, scientists, technicians and rural communities.
