Refugiados: Protección y subjetividad de una figura fronteriza

    Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el potencial de la figura del refugiado como una figura fronteriza entre la ausencia de derechos y el reconocimiento de los mismos. Para ello, propongo una primera aproximación al refugio como realidad prolongada que ha ganado protagonismo para adentrarnos en las implicaciones teóricas que pone de manifiesto una realidad que interpela a la puesta en funcionamiento de un gran número de agentes sociales. A nivel subjetivo los sujetos transitan por una institucionalidad que demanda la narración de lo vivido y una posición en la que situarse en la sociedad de acogida. Desde una metodología cualitativa basada en 53 entrevistas en profundidad realizadas en España entre 2014 y 2019, con solicitantes de asilo y personal técnico, este escrito reivindica al refugiado como figura que ejemplifica las contradicciones, normatividad y agencia, con las que diariamente batallan las Ciencias Sociales para el entendimiento de las relaciones humanas.

    Aquest article té com a objectiu analitzar el potencial de la figura del refugiat com una figura fronterera entre l’absència de drets i el reconeixement d’aquests. Per això, proposo una primera aproximació al refugi com a realitat prolongada que ha guanyat protagonisme per endinsar-nos en les implicacions teòriques que posa de manifest una realitat que interpel·la la posada en funcionament d’un gran nombre d’agents socials. A nivell subjectiu, els subjectes transiten per una institucionalitat que exigeix la narració del viscut i una posició en què situar-se en la societat d’acollida. Des d’una metodologia qualitativa basada en 53 entrevistes en profunditat realitzades a Espanya entre 2014 i 2019, amb sol·licitants d’asil i personal tècnic, aquest escrit reivindica el refugiat com una figura que exemplifica les contradiccions, la normativitat i l’agència amb què les Ciències Socials batallen diàriament per comprendre les relacions humanes.

    The aim of this article is to analyse the potential of the figure of the refugee as a borderline figure between the absence of rights and their recognition. To do so, I propose a first approach to the refugee as a prolonged reality that has gained prominence in order to delve into the theoretical implications of a reality that challenges the functioning of a large number of social agents. On a subjective level, the subjects pass through an institutionality that demands the narration of their experiences and a position in which to situate themselves in the host society. Using a qualitative methodology based on 53 in-depth interviews conducted in Spain between 2014 and 2019 with asylum seekers and technical staff, this paper claims the refugee as a figure that exemplifies the contradictions, normativity and agency with which the Social Sciences struggle daily to understand human relations.
