My uncle is coming tomorrow (2014) by Sebastián Santana Camargo is a seemingly simple narrative, but it is one that takes the reader off balance through a constant structure. The uncle who insists on not arriving represents all the absence of family members in the argentine military dictatorship. This book was inspired by La Línea (1975) by Beatriz Doumerc and Ayax Barnes, an iconic work that challenged the imposed political condition and remains a hallmark of the period. We intend to analyze them in the light of the theatricalities present: the use of picture book spaces (LEE, 2012; MORAES, 2022), through th Thies Lehmann's concept of post-dramatic theater (LEHMANN, 2011) and the relationship between words and images of verbal-visual texts (NODELMANN, 2011). We will observe how the elements of the works approach theater as a form of expression.
