A vida póstuma da agudeza: o drama da lírica em Passim de Miguel Deguy

    The article carries out a close reading of “Passim”, which, like a poem in parallax, forges, with the device of fragmentarism, an anomalous unit of discourses on death, and constitutes an in extremis demonstration of the limits and possibilities of poetic discourse. Thus, horror and mourning, sore points of Western culture, are recognized in the poem as defining the dispute between the knowing self, on the one hand; and inchoative thought, the impossibility of meaning and erasure, on the other, formulating an agon about the very being-on of the existence circumscribed by the awareness of the finitude and fragility of life. The article, finally, identifies the intimate links between the legibility of the lyric, the discursive montage, the performative condition of the self and its dramatization in the ritualization of mourning – links conditioned to the care of the rhetorical artifices, which remain ruinous and re-updated, still productive in Deguy's contemporary poetry.

    O artigo realiza uma leitura cerrada de “Passim”, que, como um poema em paralaxe, forja, com o dispositivo do fragmentarismo, uma unidade anômala de discursos sobre a morte, e constitui uma demonstração in extremis dos limites e possibilidades do discurso poético. Assim, o horror e o luto, pontos nevrálgicos da cultura ocidental, são reconhecidos no poema como definidores da disputa entre o eu cognoscente, de um lado; e o pensamento incoativo, a impossibilidade de sentido e o apagamento de outro, de modo a formular um agon sobre o próprio ser-sobre da existência circunscrita pela consciência da finitude e da fragilidade da vida. A leitura, por fim, identifica os vínculos íntimos entre a legibilidade da lírica, a montagem discursiva, a condição performativa do eu e sua dramatização na ritualização do luto – vínculos condicionados ao desvelo dos artifícios da retórica, que subsistem ruinares e reatualizados, ainda produtivos, na poesia contemporânea de Deguy.
