    El presente artículo tiene como propósito mostrar los diferentes tipos de traducción que pueden ser empleados para traducir un texto literario con terminología científica, específicamente los tipos de traducción utilizados para la traducción del libro Love on the Brain que pertenece al género Comedia Romántica (conocido por sus siglas en inglés como Rom-com.), el cual es bestseller del New York Times. Para obtener dicho resultado se realizó un análisis de los capítulos 7, 8, 10 y 15, buscando encontrar los diferentes tipos de traducción empleados para esta historia especialmente la traducción científica dentro de un texto literario dando como respuesta una diferencia multicultural entre el idioma de origen (inglés americano) y la traducción al español que contiene tanto español castellano como español latino realizado para España y para toda América Latina por la Traductora Literaria Patricia Sebastián Hernández.

    The purpose of this article is to show the different types of translation that can be used to translate a literary text with scientific terminology, specifically the types of translation used for the translation of the book Love on the Brain, which belongs to the Romantic Comedy genre (known by its acronym in English as Rom-com.), which is a New York Times bestseller. To obtain this result, an analysis of chapters 7, 8, 10 and 15, was carried out, seeking to find the different types of translation used for this story, especially the scientific translation within a literary text, giving as an answer a multicultural difference between the source language (American English) and the translation into Spanish that contains both Castilian Spanish and Latin Spanish made for Spain and for all Latin America by the Literary Translator Patricia Sebastián Hernández.
