    Es fundamental conocer la historia y cronología del terrorismo en el Ecuador, además de las acciones del Estado para garantizar la seguridad y la paz de los ciudadanos. Mediante la presente investigación, se efectúa un análisis de los principales acontecimientos que han marcado al Ecuador en materia de terrorismo, realizando un recorrido histórico durante los años 1983 al 2020, que inicia con la aparición  del grupo subversivo “Alfaro Vive ¡Carajo!”, “Montoneras Patria Libre (MPL)” y la presencia de disidentes de las FARC en la frontera entre Ecuador con Colombia que generó conmoción en el país”, con el fin de tener un registro de su evolución histórica y lograr una visión prospectiva del terrorismo en el Ecuador. Para lo cual se han realizado consultas bibliográficas a través de motores de búsqueda científicos y académicos, así como también en fuentes de información en la web de páginas informativas, que una vez analizadas han permitido conocer los diferentes hechos terroristas en nuestro país identificando la presencia de actos terroristas que han sido sancionados de acuerdo a la normativa legal, marcando un precedente nacional.

    It is essential to know the history and chronology of terrorism in Ecuador, in addition to the actions of the State to ensure the security and peace of citizens. Through this research, an analysis of the main events that have marked Ecuador in terms of terrorism is carried out, making a historical tour during the years 1983 to 2020, which begins with the appearance of the subversive group "Alfaro Vive ¡Carajo!", "Montoneras Patria Libre (MPL)" and the presence of FARC dissidents on the border between Ecuador and Colombia that generated commotion in the country", in order to have a record of its historical evolution and achieve a prospective vision of terrorism in Ecuador. For this purpose, bibliographical consultations have been made through scientific and academic search engines, as well as information sources on the web of informative pages, which once analyzed have allowed to know the different terrorist acts in our country, identifying the presence of terrorist acts that have been punished according to the legal regulations, setting a national precedent.
