Formación docente en educación ambiental desde la perspectiva de un análisis bibliométrico

    La Educación Ambiental es una estrategia que permite mejorar las actitudes del ser humano con la naturaleza. En este contexto, los docentes juegan un rol fundamental, por lo que su formación permanente y continua en este campo se convierte en una necesidad (Canaza-Choque, 2019; Nieva & Martínez, 2016). En el presente artículo, se realizó un estudio bibliométrico descriptivo, para establecer las tendencias en investigación sobre formación docente en Educación Ambiental. Se empleó la base de datos Scopus para obtener la producción científica entre los años 2003 y 2023; para los análisis se emplearon los softwares VOSviewer, el paquete R bibliometrix y la aplicación Biblioshiny. El análisis de 151 artículos demostró un crecimiento de la producción científica a partir del año 2019, destacando la revista Sustainability (Suiza), con una alta producción científica y a Environmental Education Research con el mayor impacto. El autor con más publicaciones es Varela-Losada, M y el artículo más citado fue escrito por Evans et al., (2017). Las palabras de mayor coocurrencia son environmental education y teacher education. Las publicaciones sobre la formación docente en Educación Ambiental se han incrementado en los últimos años, sin embargo, es pertinente fortalecer los lazos de investigación en este campo.

    Environmental Education is a strategy that improves human attitudes towards nature. In this context, teachers play a fundamental role, so their permanent and continuous training in this field becomes a necessity (Canaza-Choque, 2019; Nieva & Martínez, 2016). In this article, a descriptive bibliometric study was carried out to establish trends in research on teacher training in Environmental Education.  The Scopus database was used to obtain scientific production between the years 2003 and 2023; For the analyses, the VOSviewer software, the bibliometrix R package and the Biblioshiny application were used. The analysis of 151 articles demonstrated a growth in scientific production starting in 2019, highlighting the magazine Sustainability (Switzerland), with high scientific production and Research in Environmental Education with the greatest impact. The author with the most publications is Varela-Losada, M and the most cited article was written by Evans et al., (2017). The words with the highest co-occurrence are environmental education and teacher training. Publications on teacher training in Environmental Education have increased in recent years, however, it is pertinent to strengthen research ties in this field.
