Lanthanum ferrite (LaFeO3), a ceramic with perovskite-like structure, is multiferroic material, which is attractive for its possible use in electronic devices. Despite this, it has an anti-ferromagnetic (AF) order causing its specific magnetization to be small at room temperature. One way to modify the magnetic properties is by distorting its crystal structure, which affects the orientation of the magnetic moments of Fe3+. In this work, the anti-ferromagnetic order was modified by substituting Fe3+ cations with Co2+ cations obtaining LaCoxFe1-xO3 where (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.125, x = 0.025). The synthesis was carried out by high-energy mechanical milling and heat treatment at 1200 °C for 5 h. By X-ray diffraction the introduction of Co2+ was confirmed. Vibrating sample magnetometry characterization showed that Co2+ modifies the magnetic order, presenting weak ferromagnetism. In other hand the dielectric behavior, show a general decrease for doped samples at frequencies lower than 104 Hz
