Resumen de Construção e validação do instrumento de avaliação: Inventário de Competências Comunicativas Pré-linguísticas (ICCPl)

  No âmbito de um estudo mais abrangente foi construído e validado o Inventário deCompetências Comunicativas Pré-linguísticas (ICCPl) que pretende recolher informaçõessobre as formas de comunicação utilizadas para veicular diferentes funções comunicativas emcrianças no período pré-linguístico durante as suas rotinas. A construção e validação internadeste instrumento foi realizada através de três procedimentos distintos, nomeadamente: avalidade do construto através de um painel de especialistas, a análise de validade interna atravésdo coeficiente de correlação corrigido entre os itens e o total do instrumento e a análise dascorrelações entre os itens. Constituiu-se uma amostra de 41 participantes de crianças comdesenvolvimento típico e crianças com surdez. A análise de validade interna através docoeficiente de correlação corrigido entre os itens, indicando os valores de correlação do itemcom o total do instrumento (r ITC), sugeriu a redução para 44 itens dos 53 itens iniciais. Aanálise do ICCPl indica que os valores de correlação encontrados apresentam uma orientaçãopositiva, com várias correlações perfeitas. Sabendo que correlação não prova causalidade entreas variáveis estudadas, os testes estatísticos ao instrumento apresentaram um conjunto decorrelações positivas que evidenciam uma relação linear entre as variáveis estudadas. O ICCPlpretende dar resposta às necessidades dos profissionais portugueses que atuam na área dacomunicação e linguagem com crianças em idades precoces e suas famílias. A sua conceção econstrução assentaram em premissas de uma atuação colaborativa com as famílias, tendo emconsideração a atividade e participação das crianças nos seus contextos naturais.

  The Inventory of Pre-Linguistic Communicative Skills (ICCPl) was developed and validated,as part of a more comprehensive study. It aims to collect information on the forms ofcommunication used to convey different communicative functions in children in the prelinguisticperiod during their routines. The construction and internal validation of thisinstrument was carried out through three distinct procedures, namely: the construct validitythrough a panel of experts, the internal validity analysis through the corrected correlationcoefficient between the items and the total of the instrument and the analysis correlationsbetween items. A sample of 41 participants of children with typical development and childrenwith hearing impairment was constituted. The analysis of internal validity through thecorrelation coefficient corrected between items, indicating the correlation values of the itemwith the total instrument (r ITC), suggested a reduction to 44 items out of 53 initial items. TheICCPl analysis indicates that the correlation values found have a positive orientation, withseveral perfect correlations. Knowing that correlation does not prove causality between thestudied variables, the statistical tests of the instrument presented a set of positive correlationsthat show a linear relationship between the studied variables. ICCPl aims to respond to theneeds of Portuguese professionals who work with young children with communication andlanguage disorders and their families. Its design and construction were based on premises of acollaborative family-centered approach, considering the activity and participation of childrenin their natural contexts
