    This article aims to investigate the trajectory of the Palestinian poet Fadwa Tuqan based on her autobiography, Rihla Jabaliyya, Rihla Sa'ba, published in Arabic in 1985, in order to discuss the transformations of the Palestinian territory and population in the 20th century. Tuqan grew up in Palestine amidst the British colonial occupation and the presence of the Zionist movement, a process that culminated in the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. Thus, the article seeks to analyze how Tuqan constructs her personal history in her writings, paying attention to her reflections on social, political and cultural aspects of the reality of Palestine, focusing on her impressions on gender, politics and nation. Based on this publication, and the debates in the intellectual and historiographical scene, the article seeks to delve deeper into the implications of gender issues in national formation, crossed by the struggle for the liberation of Palestine.

    Este artigo visa investigar a trajetória da poetisa palestina Fadwa Tuqan a partir de sua autobiografia, Rihla Jabaliyya, Rihla Sa'ba, publicada em árabe em 1985, a fim de discutir as transformações do território e da população palestina no século XX. Tuqan cresceu na Palestina em meio ao cenário de ocupação colonial britânica e da presença do movimento sionista, processo que culminou na criação do Estado de Israel, em 1948. Assim, busca-se analisar de que forma Tuqan constrói sua história pessoal em seus escritos, atentando-se para suas reflexões sobre aspectos sociais, políticos e culturais da realidade da Palestina, focalizando em suas impressões sobre gênero, política e nação. Partindo desta publicação, e dos debates no cenário intelectual e historiográfico, busca-se aprofundar sobre as implicações das questões de gênero na formação nacional, atravessadas pela luta por libertação da Palestina.
