    Neste artigo, reconstruo as semelhanças e a complexa relação entre Martinho Lutero e Girolamo Savonarola, evitando a armadilha de considerar Savonarola como precursor da Reforma Protestante, e identifico, num período que chamo de «a era da Misericórdia» (entre o final do século xv e a primeira metade do século xvi), o nascimento de um novo paradigma teológico e religioso comum a ambas essas figuras.

    In this paper I reconstruct the similarities, and the complex relationship between Martin Luther and Girolamo Savonarola, avoiding the trap of Savonarola as forerunner of the Protestant Reformation, and individuating, in a period I call «the age of Mercy» (between the end of the Fifteenth century and the first half of the Sixteenth), the birth of a new theological and religious paradigm common to both these figures.
