    Portugal’s interior has a very important role in the national tourism, contributing for an ever-growing fixation of the population and entrepreneurship. The pandemic “forced” tourists’ displacements to the interior of Portugal, contributed by the limitations of the international travels. To make the touristic offer more embracing, four villages from the interior center of Portugal were identified to work as a network, located in the county of Santa Comba Dão (Region of Beira Alta), to promote actions in line with the main ongoing strategic plans, in which were identified several characteristics, essential to a touristic development that aims for sustaining its ideals parallel to sustainable actions in a low-density area. Acting as a network and in a sustainable way is essential, being that the tourism market benefits from social and digital globalization. The results show concern in acting sustainably and in network, along with authenticity, tranquility and security, elements highly valued in this investigation.

    O interior de Portugal assume um papel preponderante no turismo nacional, contribuindo para uma crescente fixação da população e maior empreendedorismo. A pandemia “forçou” as deslocações dos turistas para o interior de Portugal, em que muito contribuíram as limitações das viagens internacionais. De forma a tornar a oferta turística mais abrangente, identificaram-se quatro aldeias do interior centro de Portugal com vista a um funcionamento em rede, localizadas no concelho de Santa Comba Dão (Região da Beira Alta), para a promoção de uma atuação em linha com os principais planos estratégicos, nas quais se identificaram diversos ativos, essenciais a um desenvolvimento turístico que procura suster os seus ideais a par de ações sustentáveis numa área de baixa densidade. Agir em rede e de forma sustentável é imprescindível, sendo que o mercado turístico beneficia da globalização digital e social. Os resultados obtidos revelam uma preocupação em agir de forma sustentável e em rede, aliada à autenticidade, tranquilidade e segurança, elementos valorizados nesta investigação.
