The article deals with the epistemic violence faced by female philosophers and postgraduate students, especially linked to the conception of the epistemic subject, which underlies theories, methodologies, beliefs and behaviors. The effects of this violence range from the abandonmentof philosophy by students, the precariousness of the working environment for women philosophers and the delegitimization of people coming from other epistemological registers.
