El presente artículo tiene por objetivo exponer las dificultades propias y exógenas que tuvo la II República durante el primer año de guerra- desde julio de 1936 hasta mayo de 1937- para conseguir armamento en el mercado negro y por vías no soviéticas debido a la entrada en vigor del acuerdo de no intervención. Para ello, el artículo se divide en dos partes. La primera de ellas consiste en la exposición de un “estado de la cuestión” sobre el tema, ya que ha sido un aspecto olvidado por una parte y distorsionado por otra. En la segunda parte, de la manera más sintética, pero clara posible, incluimos las principales aportaciones y novedades que hemos detectado sobre el tema al realizar nuestra investigación.

The aim of this article is to explain the difficulties that the Second Republic had during the first year of the war - from July 1936 to May 1937 - in obtaining armaments on the black market and through non-Soviet channels due to the entry into force of the non-intervention agreement. To this end, the article is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a ‘state of the art’ on the subject, as it has been a neglected and distorted aspect on the one hand and a distorted one on the other. In the second part, in the most synthetic but clear manner possible, we include the main contributions and new developments that we have detected on the subject during our research.
