    En este artículo nos hemos basado principalmente en los informes del diplomático español Justo Bermejo, Representante oficioso que no oficial de España en México, y en los de la Oficina de Información Diplomática, que se hallan depositados en el fondo del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores del Archivo General de la Administración que se encuentra en Alcalá de Henares. Junto a ellos y la consulta de la más moderna bibliografía hemos querido desentrañar hasta qué punto México, su capital sobre todo, era el centro, a través esencialmente de la Embajada de la Unión Soviética, de difusión del comunismo a toda el área americana, incluyendo por tanto los Estados Unidos, y Centro y Sudamérica. También hemos querido averiguar en qué proporción el presidente mexicano Adolfo Ruiz Cortines colaboró activamente en la cruzada anticomunistade los Estados Unidos para el mundo entero, y sobre todo para esta área americana, y si a raíz del golpe de Estado guatemalteco, de junio de 1954, impulsó, o no, aún más Ruiz Cortines esta cruzada en el interior del propio México.

    In this article we have based ourselves mainly on the reports of the Spanish diplomat Justo Bermejo, unofficial representative of Spain in Mexico, and on those of the Diplomatic Information Office, which are deposited in the fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the General Administration Archive located in Alcalá de Henares. Together with them and the consultation of the most modern bibliography, we have wanted to unravel to what extent Mexico, its capital above all, was the center, through essentially the Embassy of the Soviet Union, of the spread of communism to the entire American area, including therefore the United States, and Central and South America. We also wanted to find out to what extent the Mexican president Adolfo Ruiz Cortines actively collaborated in the anti-communist crusade of the United States for the entire world, and especially for this American area, and if as a result of the Guatemalan coup d’état of June 1954 Ruiz Cortines further promoted, or not, this crusade within Mexico itself.
