    RESUMEN El propósito de este artículo consiste en ofrecer una revisión de la literatura académica sobre enfoques integrados a los conceptos discapacidad y turismo accesible con la finalidad de ampliar la comprensión sobre el tema. Para el estudio se conciben las bases del pensamiento que deberán teneren consideración la academia y los actores involucrados en el desarrollo de una industria turística, donde su práctica esté basada en el valor agregado de la inclusión social. La metodología utilizada en la elaboración de este artículo se basó enuna revisión documental. El objetivo principal fue analizar elcontenido relacionado con la relación entre el turismo accesible y elpensamiento que lo precede. La idea central es reconocer la importancia de tener conciencia sobre las diferentes escuelas depensamiento y la historia de la discapacidad asociada al turismoaccesible. Esto permite comprender y participar de manera más efectiva en el debate que está marcando el entorno actual. Este es en un mundo que, en gran medida, no está completamente diseñado para personas con discapacidades, por lo que es fundamental entender y vincularse mejor con esta temática.

    ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to provide a review of the academic literature on integrated approaches to the concepts of disability and accessible tourism in order to enhance understanding of the topic. For the study, the foundations of thinking that academia and the stakeholders involved in the development of a tourism industry, where practice is based on the added value of social inclusion, are considered. The methodology used in the preparation of this article was based on a documentary review. The main objective was to analyze the content related to the relationship between accessible tourism and the preceding thinking. The central idea is to recognize the importance of being aware of different schools of thought and the history of disability associated with accessible tourism. This allows us to understand and participate more effectively in the debate that is shaping the current environment. We live in a world that is largely not fully designed for people with disabilities, so it is essential to better understand and engage with this topic.
