    Los textos griegos y siriacos que han sobrevivido de la obra apócrifa Hechos de Tomás se remontan a textos anteriores que pugnan por ser los vástagos de un supuesto original perdido. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el uso que se hace en los textos griego y siriaco de los conceptos médico/sanador y hechicero/mago para referirse al apóstol Tomás a través de los diversos términos utilizados en los dos textos. Como conclusión, valoramos los resultados obtenidos y formulamos una hipótesis provisional según la cual el texto siriaco pudiera ser el descendiente del texto original

    The surviving Greek and Syriac texts of the apocryphal Acts of Thomas date back to earlier texts that contend for recognition as the offspring of a supposedly lost original. The aim of this article is to analyse the uses made in both the Greek and Syriac texts of the concepts of “physician/healer” and “sorcerer/magician” to refer to the apostle Thomas through the various terms employed throughout the two texts. To conclude the article, we evaluate the results obtained and offer a provisional hypothesis suggesting that the Syriac text may descend from the original
