This article presents the conclusions of the use of a modality of comparative history, the study of cultural transfers, for the analysis of two sets of legislation: the canons of the Fourth Lateran Council, fruits of the General Assembly convoked and presided over by Pope Innocent III in 1215, and the statutes of two synods held in the Iberian diocese of Calahorra, organized and directed by the local bishop, Aznar Lopez Cradeíta, in 1240 and 1256, aiming to introduce such resolutions. Although in calagurris´ constitutions are made direct references to the following up the Lateran IV's recommendations, there was a selective apprehension of these rules, which relates to the specific social conditions of the region.

Esse artigo apresenta as conclusões do uso de uma modalidade de História Comparada, o estudo das transferências culturais, para a análise de dois conjuntos de textos legislativos: os cânones do IV Concílio de Latrão, frutos da assembleia geral convocada e presidida pelo papa Inocêncio III em 1215, e os estatutos de dois sínodos realizados na diocese ibérica de Calahorra, organizados e dirigidos pelo bispo local, Aznar López de Cradeíta, em 1240 e 1256, objetivando introduzir tais resoluções. Ainda que nas constituições calagurritanas sejam feitas referências diretas ao seguimento das recomendações do Lateranense IV, houve uma apreensão seletiva destas normas, o que se relaciona às condições sociais específicas da região.
