The main results of the thesis "(Re)creating Paths: Haitian Labor Incorporation in the Commune of Puerto Montt" are presented here. It works the situation of the Haitian community in Chile, focusing on their socio-labor integration in the municipality of Puerto Montt. The research highlights the self-perceived labor identity of these workers, which in a way motivates them to work in Chile, despite being at a disadvantage compared to locals. Additionally, the study emphasizes the human capital that haitians bring from their country, beyond the formal validation of their education in Chile. It is observed that the validation of Chilean secondary education may be linked to obtaining more formal employment. In addittion, there is a tendency towards intra-ethnic relationships, especially in the initial stages of adaptation in the commune. These relationships not only help cope with the migratory experience by being subalternized/stigmatized but also provide a more familiar support. The article also delves into inter-ethnic networks and the benefits that being part of them brings to individuals in terms of socio-labor integration
