    El propósito de este artículo es reflexionar sobre el testimonio de una activista de la “Coordi” del Beso Diverso como “memoria subterránea” que forma parte de las “memorias colectivas” de la comunidad sexualmente diversa y sus luchas por los derechos del colectivo LGBTIQ+. El objetivo general es exponer, mediante el testimonio de "Maria" y la recopilación bibliográfica documental, la historia del movimiento Beso Diverso y su aporte al movimiento LGBTQI+ costarricense en la búsqueda por el reconocimiento de los derechos de la población sexualmente diversa en Costa Rica. La aproximación metodológica implementada es el registro audiovisual y la técnica aplicada es la entrevista semiestructurada para recopilar los sentipensares de la activista en un ambiente de confianza. Este artículo concluye que el testimonio de la activista representa una contribución a la memoria colectiva, especialmente, desde los grupos minoritarios y refuerza la cohesión social de la población LGBTIQ+. A su vez, la perspectiva interseccional considera a Kathia no solo como mujer, sino también como lesbiana, feminista, madre y profesional. En esta línea, el testimonio de la activista revela estrategias desde el activismo lesbo-feminista para romper con el poder estructural y el imperialismo cultural. Por lo tanto, desde la política de la diferencia se busca prevenir la discriminación institucional y garantizar el reconocimiento social de las personas marginadas, un ejemplo de ello es la aprobación del matrimonio igualitario en Costa Rica como política de reconocimiento.

    The purpose of this article is to reflect on the testimony of an activist from the “Coordi” of the Beso Diverso as an “underground memory” that forms part of the “collective memories” of the sexually diverse community and their struggles for the rights of the LGBTIQ+ collective. The general objective is to present, through the testimony of "Maria"  and the bibliographic documentary compilation, the history of the Beso Diverso movement and its contribution to the Costa Rican LGBTQI+ movement in the quest for the recognition of the rights of the sexually diverse population in Costa Rica. The methodological approach implemented is audiovisual recording, and the technique applied is the semi-structured interview to gather the “thoughts-feelings” of the activist in a trustful environment. This article concludes that the activist's testimony represents a contribution to the collective memory, especially from minority groups, and reinforces the social cohesion of the LGBTIQ+ population. Furthermore, the intersectional perspective considers Kathia not only as a woman but also as a lesbian, feminist, mother, and professional. In this line, the activist's testimony reveals strategies from lesbo-feminist activism to break with structural power and cultural imperialism. Therefore, from the politics of difference, the aim is to prevent institutional discrimination and ensure the social recognition of marginalized people, an example of which is the approval of same-sex marriage in Costa Rica as a policy of recognition.
