    Geographic learning is the understanding of the processes of both scientific and human formation of the individual, which are consolidated from their interaction with objects of geographic knowledge, and with the agents of natural and social transformation of the geographic space. In this sense, the objective is to discuss the concept of learning according to the philosopher Jürgen Habermas and its possibilities of contribution to a geographic education of a humanistic-cultural nature. Bibliographical research is used on the conceptualization of learning by Habermas and interlocutors, by highlighting meanings and structuring elements, as well as other theoretical-methodological notes that approach the teaching of Geography in a humanistic-cultural perspective. Therefore, learning Geography means that both educators and students are inserted in an intersubjectively shared lifeworld, with intertwined elements of culture, society and personality. Therefore, supported by language, which highlights the construction as a continuous reconstruction of the spatial knowledge of the world, whatever it is strategic, dialogic or expressive

    Aprendizagem geográfica é a compreensão dos processos de formação científica e humana do indivíduo, que são consolidados a partir de sua interação tanto com objetos de conhecimento geográfico, como com os agentes de transformação natural e social do espaço geográfico. Nesse sentido, objetiva-se discutir o conceito de aprendizagem tratado pelo filósofo Jürgen Habermas e suas possibilidades de contribuição para uma educação geográfica de natureza humanística-cultural. Utiliza-se pesquisa bibliográfica acerca da conceituação de aprendizagem de Habermas e interlocutores, destacando-se sentidos e elementos estruturantes, bem como outros apontamentos teórico-metodológicos que abordam o ensino da Geografia em uma perspectiva humanístico-cultural. Logo, aprender Geografia significa que educadores e educandos estão inseridos num mundo da vida intersubjetivamente compartilhado, com elementos intercruzados de cultura, sociedade e personalidade. Portanto, amparados pela linguagem, que evidencia a construção como reconstrução contínua do conhecimento espacial do mundo, seja ele estratégico, dialógico ou expressivo.
