    Tras años de discusión multilateral, se ha concluido la negociación sobre el Tratado de derecho de diseños, instrumento jurídico internacional destinado a reducir y estandarizar las formalidades procedimentales del procedimiento de registro del derecho de diseño industrial. El artículo analiza la dispersa regulación internacional que protege esta figura y el previsible impacto que este Tratado va a tener en ella. Igualmente, se exponen las principales novedades incorporadas a este Tratado.

    After years of multilateral debates, the negotiations on the Design Law Treaty concluded, with the adoption of an international legal instrument aimed at reducing and standardizing the procedural formalities of the registration procedure of this intellectual property right. This article explores the disperse international regulation protecting this figure and the foreseeable impact this Treaty may involve. Likewise, the main new elements introduced by this Treaty will be introduced.
