Resumen de El patrimonio cultural del cantón Portoviejo, en Manabí, Ecuador. Propuesta de valoración integral

  RESUMEN Manabí es una provincia ecuatoriana; Portoviejo es su capital y una de las primeras ciudades de Ecuador, donde se han creado una serie de espacios que se reconocen como patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible, con posibilidad de contribuir al desarrollo turístico del cantón, al poseer una de las gastronomías más ricas y variadas del país. Con el objetivo de fundamentar la utilización de un método de estimación financiera, considerando las preferencias de los consumidores para la valoración del patrimonio cultural del cantón Portoviejo, y la utilización de este recurso como generador de ingresos para el territorio, se realiza la presente investigación. Existen todas las condiciones para que el patrimonio cultural sea el mayor atractivo turístico del cantón y de la provincia, pero aún, no se logra integrar los intereses de gestión cultural y turística con este fin, y es pertinente que se conserve y desarrolle adecuadamente el patrimonio cultural, se potencie el desarrollo local y se generen nuevos empleos y riquezas para la sociedad. La implementación del procedimiento propuesto da la posibilidad de realizar la evaluación patrimonial y la caracterización de diversos bienes culturales, inmuebles e inmateriales en el cantón Portoviejo, destacan la presencia de un patrimonio valioso y la aplicación del método confirma su validez y eficacia para la gestión patrimonial, que deben desarrollar las instituciones públicas.

  ABSTRACT Manabí is an Ecuadorian province; Portoviejo is its capital and one of the first cities in Ecuador, where a series of spaces have been created that are recognized as tangible and intangible cultural heritage, with the possibility of contributing to the tourist development of the canton, by having a of the richest and most varied cuisines in the country. With the objective of justifying the use of a financial estimation method, considering the preferences of consumers for the valuation of the cultural heritage of the Portoviejo canton, and the use of this resource as a generator of income for the territory, the present investigation is carried out. All the conditions exist for the cultural heritage to be the greatest tourist attraction of the canton and the province, but still, it is not possible to integrate the interests of cultural and tourist management for this purpose, which is relevant to preserve and adequately develop the cultural heritage, promote local development and generate new jobs and wealth for society. The implementation of the proposed procedure gives the possibility of carrying out the patrimonial evaluation and the characterization of various cultural, immovable and intangible assets in the Portoviejo canton, highlighting the presence of a valuable patrimony and the application of the method confirms its validity and effectiveness for patrimonial management to be developed by public institutions.
