    El Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial (PCI) está integrado por todas aquellas manifestaciones que son inherentes a las comunidades y grupos de individuos que las reconocen como propias. Una de las manifestaciones más representativas del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial en España es, sin lugar a dudas, el flamenco. A lo largo de su historia, se ha mostrado como un Patrimonio vivo que ha sido capaz de adaptarse a sus diversas circunstancias. En este texto se abordarán aquellas características que, desde la perspectiva patrimonial, lo hacen merecedor de una especial atención, valorando las distintas medidas de protección a nivel legal, los riesgos asociados a su naturaleza inmaterial y las posibles actuaciones de salvaguardia asociadas al desarrollo de sus comunidades.

    Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) is made up of all those manifestations that are inherent to communities and individual groups that recognize them as their own. One of the most representative manifestations of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Spain is, without a doubt, flamenco. Throughout its history, it has been considered a living Heritage that has been able to adapt to its diverse circumstances. This text will address those characteristics that, from a heritage perspective, make it worthy of special attention, assessing the different protection measures at the legal level, the risks associated with its intangible nature and the possible safeguard actions associated with the development of its communities.
