    A partir de documentación diplomática soviética inédita hasta el momento, exponemos un primer acercamiento al tipo de relación personal y política que tuvo lugar entre la figura de Salvador Allende y los órganos partidarios y oficiales del gobierno de la Unión Soviética, con especial mención al período del gobierno de la Unidad Popular chilena. Sostenemos la hipótesis de que los vínculos entre las partes estuvieron permanentemente afectados por apreciaciones ambivalentes, muy propias del reduccionismo ideológico del período de la Guerra Fría. La ausencia de fluidez y mutua comprensión perjudicaría las posibilidades de un entendimiento fructífero que habría favorecido al propio proyecto de la Vía Chilena al Socialismo

    Based on unpublished Soviet diplomatic documentation, we present here a first approach to the type of personal and political relationship that took place between the figure of Salvador Allende and the party and official bodies of the government of the Soviet Union. with special mention to the period of the Chilean Popular Unity government. We support the hypothesis that the links between the parties were permanently affected by ambivalent assessments, very typical of the ideological reductionism of the Cold War period. The absence of fluidity and mutual understanding would harm the possibilities of a fruitful understanding that would have favored the Chilean Road to Socialism project itself
