    El 90 aniversario del inicio de los estudios contables en la Universidad de La Habana (UH) amerita que se den a conocer aquellos hechos que componen la historia de los primeros 10 años de la Escuela Superior de Comercio (ESC). Para ello, se accedió a la información que conserva el Archivo Central de la institución, ya que atesora y custodia gran parte de su patrimonio documental y brinda el conocimiento de su quehacer desde su fundación. En tal sentido, en el estudio se refieren sucesos relevantes ocurridos en la época republicana y se presentan importantes figuras que marcaron un hito en la historia de los estudios contables y del país.

    The 90th anniversary of the beginning of accounting studies at the University of Havana (UH) deserves that those facts that make up the history of the first 10 years of the Higher School of Commerce (ESC) are made known. To this end, the information kept by the Central Archive of the institution was accessed, since it hoards and safeguards a large part of its documentary heritage and provides knowledge of its work as from its foundation. In this regard, the study refers to relevant events that occurred during the Republican era and presents important figures that marked a milestone in the history of accounting and country studies.
