    En este texto se presentan posiciones de Lima Barreto, Roberto Arlt y João Antônio sobre cierta tendencia literaria y periodística que ignora cuestiones de relevancia social en favor de informaciones o producciones estéticas carentes de sentido crítico dirigidas a los problemas de la sociedad. Así, se centran en extractos de las crónicas de los tres autores, en los que se evidencia la preocupación por el lado humano de los acontecimientos. Se pudo constatar la revelación de una prensa sesgada y también de una literatura centrada en el arte por el arte, sin compromiso social. Además, el pensamiento de estos escritores es actual para el pensamiento del siglo XXI.

    Positions of Lima Barreto, Roberto Arlt and João Antônio are addressed about a certain literary and journalistic tendency to ignore themes of social importance in favor of information or aesthetic productions emptied of a critical sense directed to the problems of society. Thus, excerpts from the three authors' chronicles are focused, in which the concern with the human side of the facts is evident. It was possible to verify the unveiling of a biased press and also of a literature directed to the art by the art without social commitment. Furthermore, the thoughts of these writers are current for thinking about the 21st century.
