    Las publicaciones periódicas de instituciones con fines de asociacionismo militar como es el caso de la Revista del Círculo Militar / Revista Militar han sido escasamente aprovechadas en función de su carácter de fuente historiográfica para el estudio del pasado de la guerra y de los militares. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el papel de las publicaciones del Círculo Militar, entre 1910 y 1920, a fin de determinar su incidencia sobre el proceso de profesionalización del Ejército y sus derivaciones hacia la conformación de un pensamiento militar a principios del siglo XX. En este sentido, sostenemos que los órganos de difusión del Círculo Militar perseguían fines asociacionistas que modelaron las concepciones y prácticas profesionales de los oficiales, y su registro en el entorno social, cultural y político de principios del siglo XX.

    The periodical publications of institutions for the purpose of military associations, such as the Revista del Círculo Militar / Revista Militar, have been scarcely used due to their character as a historiographical source for the study of the past of the war and of the military. The objective of this article is to analyze the role of the publications of the Military Circle, between 1910 and 1920, in order to determine its incidence on the process of professionalization of the Army and its derivations towards the conformation of a military thought at the beginning of the 20th century. In this sense, we maintain that the dissemination bodies of the Círculo Military pursued associationist goals that shaped the conceptions and professional practices of the officers, and their registration in the social, cultural and political environment of the early twentieth century.
