  En este artículo, en primera instancia, presentamos una somera revisión de cómo se ha explorado la cuestión esclavista teniendo en cuenta los fondos documentales pesquisados y las líneas centrales. En una segunda instancia, nos centramos en la necesidad de reconstruir la experiencia esclavista y de libertad desarrollada en un espacio marginal y periférico del Imperio Español, como es el caso correntino. En relación a eso, realizamos una revisión crítica de las fuentes documentales que se conservan en el Archivo General de la Provincia de Corrientes y en los Archivos Parroquiales.

  In this article, in the first instance, we present a brief review of how the slave issue has been explored taking into account the documentary funds researched and the central lines. In a second instance, we focus on the need to reconstruct the slave and freedom experience developed in a marginal and peripheral space of the Spanish Empire, as is the case in Correntino. In relation to that, we carried out a critical review of the documentary sources that are conserved in the General Archive of the Province of Corrientes and in the Parish Archives.
