SciArt: prácticas transdisciplinares en la sinergia del arte y la ciencia

    Una posible definición del término SciArt incluiría su caracterización como práctica postdisciplinar y postmediática fusionando elementos típicamente asociados con las artes y las ciencias, generando una investigación en ambas áreas, sin olvidar a la tecnología como facilitadora y producto del ámbito científico en el que se sustenta. En este contexto, y desde nuestra investigación (proyecto ASTER, fondos FEDER https://aster.us.es), pretendemos arrojar algunas evidencias sobre el contexto histórico e institucional de las prácticas SciArt, así como sobre la caracterización de las prácticas en sus múltiples dimensiones. Intentamos responder a ciertas preguntas: ¿cuáles son los precedentes en la producción SciArt?, ¿cómo suelen desarrollar este tipo de obras los agentes implicados?, ¿qué define una obra SciArt?

    A possible definition of the term SciArt would include its characterization as a post-disciplinary and post-media practice, merging elements typically associated with Arts and Sciences, generating research in both areas, while not forgetting technology as a facilitator and product of the scientific field in which it is grounded. In this context, and from our research (ASTER project, FEDER funds https://aster.us.es)), we aim to provide some evidence regarding the historical and institutional context of SciArt practices, as well as the characterization of these practices in their multiple dimensions. We attempt to address certain questions: What are the precedents in SciArt production? How do the involved agents typically develop this type of work? What defines a SciArt piece?
