The researchwas conducted thanks to a preliminary analysis of historical and iconographic sources and several surveycampaigns aimed at documenting the current state of conservation. The objective of the analysis of the dataacquired is to draw up guidelines aimed at defining a useful tool for the interpretation and conservationof this area of high cultural and architectural value, preserving it from problems of conservation and useand attributing it a fundamental role in defining a relationship with the organisms of the hinterland and thesurrounding landscape.
