    Se presentan datos inéditos sobre la existencia de varios orives o plateros que trabajaron en la provincia de Cáceres durante los siglos xviii y xix; entre ellos destaca la presencia de algunos maestros portugueses pertenecientes a la generación que se estableció en este territorio a partir del primer tercio del siglo xix. Así mismo, se señala la importancia de los plateros cordobeses que comerciaban por toda la provincia con piezas litúrgicas, vajillas y joyas que tomaban en depósito de establecimientos tanto cordobeses como cacereños

    Unpublished data are presented about the existence of some goldsmiths or silversmiths who worked in the province of Cáceres during the 18th and 19th centuries;

    among them, the presence of some Portuguese masters belonging to the generation that settled in this territory from the first third of the 19th century stands out.

    Likewise, the importance of the Cordoban silversmiths who traded throughout the province with liturgical pieces, silver tableware and jewelry that they took in deposit from establishments in both Córdoba and Cáceres is noted.
