    Resumen: Este artículo propone un estudio sobre la reelaboración del mito de Casandra en la obra homónima de Christa Wolf. Tras explicar los conceptos del mito y de la novela histórica, se busca definir el proceso de creación de la obra como una escritura palimpsestuosa, identificando en ella tres procedimientos para reinterpretar el mito de la hija de Príamo: la transmotivación, la desmoralización e interacciones textuales. La herramienta teórica que respalda nuestro análisis proviene de la narratología (Genette, 1989). Se concluye que, aunque el mito continúa siendo relevante en nuestro presente contemporáneo, está en constante proceso de elaboración. A través de su obra, la escritora alemana, al subvertir el discurso mítico, abre la puerta al interior del personaje principal de Casandra.

    Abstract: This article proposes a study on the reworking of the Cassandra´s myth in Christa Wolf's homonymous work. After explaining the concepts of the myth and the historical novel, the aim is to define the process of creating the work as palimpsestuous writing, identifying within it three procedures for reinterpreting the myth of Priam´s daughter: transmotivation, demoralization, and textual interactions. The theoretical tool supporting our analysis comes from narratology (Genette, 1989). It is concluded that, although the myth remains relevant in our contemporary present, it is in a constant process of elaboration. Through her work, the German writer, by subverting the mythical discourse, opens the door to the inner world of the main character, Casandra.
