«Feminista»: un cuento radical de la Pardo Bazán

    En este ensayo proponemos un análisis del cuento “Feminista” de Emilia Pardo Bazán a la luz de la teoría del género, consciente del anacronismo, pero también de sus aportes como tal. Nuestro primer objetivo es subrayar la radicalidad del pensamiento feminista de la autora a raíz de la deconstrucción de las relaciones de poder dentro del matrimonio burgués, radicalidad todavía mal aceptada, como revela el olvido casi sistemático de este cuento por la crítica especializada. Nuestro segundo objetivo es mostrar que el cuento funciona no solo como un manifiesto político sino también estético.

    In this essay we propose a analysis of the short story ‘Feminista’ by Emilia Pardo Bazán in the light of gender theory, aware of its anachronism, but also of its contributions as such. Our first aim is to underline the radicality of the author's feminist thought as a result of the deconstruction of power relations within bourgeois marriage, a radicality that is still poorly accepted, as revealed by the almost systematic neglect of this story by specialised critics. Our second aim is to show that the short story functions not only as a political manifesto but also as an aesthetic one.
