    Una de las características de la Investigación Basada en las Artes (IBA) es la de incluir a las investigadoras en el propio trabajo, no sólo como agentes externas sino como parte intrínseca de la investigación. Por eso empezamos acercándonos al tema de los sentidos de ser en la infancia a través del proceso de poner en relación una imagen y un texto sobre nuestras experiencias de infancia. El propósito era recopilar los relatos, pensar desde ellos y materializarlos artísticamente. Decidimos hacer un montaje audiovisual con esas vivencias que al relatarse se convirtieron en experiencias, significándolas. La pauta formal que hemos seguido se basa en la multiplicidad que se desprende de los propios relatos, completamente dispares en contenido y forma, pero en los que sin duda había características comunes. De esta manera dimos una nueva voz a los fragmentos de los textos que escribimos y las imágenes que recopilamos, al tiempo que explorábamos otros significados de la IBA.

    One characteristic of arts-based research (ABR) is to include researchers in the work itself, not only as external agents, but as a part of the research itself. That is why our first approach to the topic meaning of self in childhood was through the process of relating an image to a text about our own childhood experiences. The purpose was to compile these stories, thinking from them and to materialize them artistically. We decided to make a video with those events that, when they were narrated, became experiences, by giving them meaning. The formal pattern that we have followed is based on the multiplicity that comes out of the stories themselves, completely diverse in content and form, but in which there were certainly common characteristics. Through this process we gave voice to the texts fragments we wrote and the images we collected and, at the same time we explored new meanings on ABR.
