    Los documentos de contaduría y gestión conservados en el Palacio Real de Madrid y el Archivo General de Simancas nos dan a conocer cómo fueron las muñecas de las reinas e infantas de España durante el gobierno de Felipe II y Felipe III. Ataviadas con ostentosos indumentos, estas figuras tuvieron una evidente función lúdica pupilar, pero también constituyeron lujosas piezas coleccionables con las que, de forma eficaz, la realeza difundió las tendencias vestimentarias hispánicas entre las diferentes cortes europeas.

    Accounting and management documents kept at the Royal Palace in Madrid and the General Archive of Simancas reveal to us what the dolls of Spainʼs queens and infantas were like under the governments of Philip II and Philip III. Clad in ostentatious clothing, these figures clearly had a recreational function, but they also constituted invaluable collectibles through which royalty effectively popularized Spanish clothing trends in the different European courts
