Evolución del léxico disponible sobre la "Escuela" del alumnado de Educación Primaria según el tipo de centro educativo

    Una de las aplicaciones de la disponibilidad léxica apunta a la selección del léxico como aspecto clave en la planificación lingüística tanto en lengua materna como lengua extranjera. Este estudio tiene como objetivo conocer el léxico disponible de estudiantes de Educación Primaria en el centro de interés La escuela: muebles y materiales. La muestra está formada por 208 alumnos de cuatro tipos de centros educativos diferentes: ordinario, bilingüe-inglés, bilingüe-francés y compensatoria. Para la recogida de datos se siguió la metodología del PPHDL. Las palabras más disponibles se refieren a material y mobiliario básico (lápiz, estuche, goma, mesa y pizarra). La prueba factorial intersujeto mostró que no se producen interacciones entre el tipo de centro y el ciclo. No obstante, se observan diferencias significativas en las medias según tipo de centro, siendo superiores las del centro ordinario y bilingüe de inglés, y el ciclo puesto que hay una progresión desde el primer al tercer ciclo. Estos resultados son de gran interés como base para futura selección léxica y para proponer mejoras en los programas educativos. Este trabajo abre numerosas líneas prospectivas, como la atención a la ortografía, el estudio del efecto de los programas bilingües o la relación de las prácticas letradas con la activación del léxico disponible.

    One of the applications of lexical availability points to the selection of the lexicon as a key aspect in linguistic planning in both the mother tongue and the foreign language. The objective of this study is to know the available vocabulary of Primary Edu cation students in the centre of interest The school:

    furniture and materials . The sample is made up of 208 students from 2 nd , 4 th and 6 th (these courses coincide with the end of each cycle), from four different types of educational institutions: ordinary, Spanish - English bilingual, Spanish - French bilingual, and compensatory. For data collection, the PanHispanic Lexical Availability Project methodology was followed. The most available words refer to basic material and furniture ( pencil, case, eraser, table and blackboard ). The intersubject factorial test showed that there are no interactions between the type of centre and the cycle. However, there are significant differences in the means according to the type of centre, being higher those of the ordinary and bilingual English centre, and the cycle since there is a progression from the first to the third cycle.

    These results are of great interest to Primary Education teachers as they will serve as a basis for a future lexical selection and to propose improveme nts in educational programs, such as Centre Linguistic Projects or bilingual programs .
