El presente artículo trata de dar a conocer algunos aspectos fundamentales de la vida de Erramun Joakin Sunbil, «el herrero de Ituren». A través de la información obtenida, principalmente en los archivos que se citan en el apartado «Erreferentziak», se ha podido completar ampliamente lo hasta ahora conocido y publicado sobre el citado personaje. Dicha información nos ha permitido conocer, entre otros aspectos, sus antecedentes familiares, su vida en Ituren, el viaje a Montevideo donde murió y el detallado contenido de su testamento.

This article tries to present some fundamental aspects of the life of Erramun Joakin Sunbil, «the blacksmith of Ituren».
