    El objetivo fundamental de este artículo es analizar los cambios que ha favorecido la creciente influencia de Internet en la cultura académica y el aprendizaje de los estudiantes universitarios, así como el impacto de estos cambios en la formación universitaria. Describimos el papel de la cultura digital entre los jóvenes, analizamos las características de estos "aprendices del nuevo milenio" y discutimos hasta qué punto esta generación aprende de forma distinta a las anteriores y cómo la educación superior debe adaptarse a ella.

    The fundamental objective of this article is to analyze the changes favored by the growing influence of the Internet on academic culture and the learning of university students, as well as the impact of these changes on university education. We describe the role of digital culture among young people, analyze the characteristics of these "learners of the new millennium", and discuss the degree this generation learns differently from previous generations, as well as the ways higher education must adapt.
