• This article presents psychology in Cuba in tis sociohistorical context. The basic elements of the training program are described: theory, research and practice. The aim of the curricular design in toward the integration of theory with practice. Subsequently the main areas of specializations and the working contexts for psychologist in Cuba are described. The article concludes with an examination of the current status of psychology in Cuba and the perspective for future development.
